ST ARCONS D'ALLIER

Saint Arcons d'Allier is a commune in South-Central France. It is a staging point on the Way of Saint James which leads pilgrims from Le Puy en Velay in Eastern France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.  The village is built in the dark stone characteristic of the Auvergne - La France Profonde.

TECHNICAL NOTES

The image was taken with a tripod-mounted Phase One 645 Camera at ISO 35. Exposure of 1/4 second and aperture F11.  150 mm Schneider Kreuznach telephoto lens with leaf shutter.   The image was captured on a Phase One IQ180 80 megapixel digital back.  Photographed just after sunset in failing light.
