Grindelwald is an alpine village in the canton of Berne in central Switzerland.  It is the access point for the Eiger and the Jungfrau.  The village has 145 days of rain or snow each year and 57 inches of rain/snow.

TECHNICAL NOTES

The image was taken with a tripod-mounted Phase One 645 Camera at ISO 35. Exposure of 1/10 second and aperture F16.   45 mm Phase One wide angle lens.   The image was captured on a Phase One IQ180 80 megapixel digital back.  Shadow areas have been opened using Capture One.
