Ave Montaigne, which runs between the Champs Elysees and Pont d'Alma, concentrates almost all the haute couture houses in Paris in a single strip a few hundred meters long.   Side by side, and sharing the same street presentations, they all have doormen who try in vain to chase photographers away.

The image was taken with a tripod-mounted Phase One 645 Camera at ISO 50. Exposure of 1/20 second and aperture F7.1.  45 mm Phase One lens.   The image was captured on a Phase One IQ180 80 megapixel digital back.
