Appenzell in North-East Switzerland is considered by many Swiss as the heartland of the Swiss farm. This dilapidated farmhouse between Appenzell and Gais is certainly authentic.

The image was taken with a tripod-mounted Phase One 645 Camera at ISO 35. Exposure of 1/8th second and aperture F11. 150 mm Schneider Keusnach telephoto lens with leaf shutter. The image was captured on a Phase One IQ180 80 megapixel digital back. Shadow areas have been opened using Capture One. This image is a cropped version of the previous image.
